Cornerstone Youth is on hold right now. We hope to reestablish this soon. When we do, it is open to teens and pre-teens in grades 6-12. Check out our Facebook page for announcements and events.
Sunday Night Youth Group
Cornerstone meets at 7PM on Sunday’s in the Teen Room at the church. Each meeting starts out with snacks and a Bible lesson, followed by games. We kick off the school year with a lock-in every August. It’s a fun time to hang out with friends and learn about God and the Christian lifestyle.
Summer Camp
Every summer our teens get an opportunity to spend a week with other teens from across the East Ohio district. Camp is a great time to make new friends and experience faith in new and exciting ways. A recent increase in interest and involvement has made it necessary for us to re-think our current camp model, but don’t worry! Our district NYI council is working to ensure that camp will continue to be fun for all of our youth!
Fall Retreat
Fall Retreat is an excellent time for teens to take a break from the hectic world of technology and reconnect with God and each other. Each November, we spend a weekend away with other youth groups in the East Ohio district. This time is spent in worship and reflection as we grow closer to God. There is no internet or cell service on-site, so our teens really get a chance to disconnect from social media and their devices.
Youth Sunday
We encourage our teens to spend one week out of their summer volunteering with our VBS program. At the end of VBS week, our teens get to help out with our Sunday service. They take charge of music and offering, help serve communion, and our youth and children’s leaders preach the sermon. Youth Sunday is a great opportunity for teens to explore some of the different ways they can volunteer on a weekly basis.
